Event Details

The Clarksville Library is pleased to welcome Dr. Lisa Hoffman and Dr. Alan Zollman of Indiana University Southeast, authors of STEM SMART Parenting: A Practical Guide to Nurturing Innovative Thinkers, just published this April by Bloomsbury. This will be an interactive conversation on ways parents and caregivers can encourage their children to develop intellectual risk-taking that supports the creative problem-solving and the tenacity necessary for children's success in STEM disciplines. During the parent discussion, children will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activity that promotes intellectual risk-taking and persistence. The event will include an optional book signing with the opportunity to purchase a book at a library friends discount.
