On Saturday, 2025 at 1 PM, join us for The Revolution in Plain Sight: Conversations on Indiana and the 250th, featuring Ryan L. Cole and Jill Weiss Simins, two historians who will connect the ideals of the Revolution with our local history.

Ryan L. Cole is the author of The Last Adieu: Lafayette’s Triumphant Return, the Echoes of Revolution, and the Gratitude of the Republic, and Light-Horse Harry Lee: Rise and Fall of a Revolutionary Hero. He has written on American history for publications such as the Wall Street Journal and has worked for Governor Mitch Daniels and Senator Todd Young.

Jill Weiss Simins is a historian at the Indiana Archives and Records Administration focused on collections accessibility and the history of Indiana. She has been the recipient of the Dorothy Riker Hoosier Historian Award from the Indiana Historical Society, the Beck-Levy Fellowship from the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library, and a Smithsonian Fellowship through Re-Imagining Migration.

The program will meet in Jeffersonville Township Public Library’s North Program Room bear the entrance to the library’s Jeffersonville branch. Light refreshments will be provided.
