Program Description

Event Details

Please join us on this date when the library will be having a reception for Ms. Alice Rabino, whose photographs will be on display in our 2nd Floor Art Gallery from September 5-November 8. On this date, we will enjoy light refreshments and everyone is invited to attend and meet this very creative and talented individual.

Alice's photography exhibit is a part of the Louisville Photo Biennial, which has grown to encompass more than 50 photographic exhibits throughout Kentuckiana. It is held in Cincinnati on even years and Kentuckiana on odd years. Please note that even though the official dates for the Louisville Photo Biennial this year are Friday, September 5-Sunday, November 9, the library is always closed on Sunday; that is why the last day for Alice's exhibit will be Saturday, November 8.

A skilled and innovative photographer who traces her creative roots back to her childhood in New York, Alice eventually found her way to Kentuckiana and she naturally fell in love with Jeffersonville's beauty and charm.

Alice (aka Ali Rabin) now focuses her camera lens on preserving the region's historical essence, with special attention to the bridges. As you can see, her work showcases the character of her adopted hometown.

The 2nd floor Art Gallery is open during the library's regular hours of business.
