Event Details

Are you interested in learning more about researching your African American family’s history? Have you been told not to bother, because African American genealogy is too hard? Don’t believe it! African American family research is challenging, but new online resources make the job easier—and the many free or low-cost resources make the job more affordable. Join Diane Stepro, Genealogy and Local History Librarian, on Thursday, February 13, starting at 6 p.m., in the Family and Local History Center at the library’s Jeffersonville location. This presentation is recommended for teen and adult patrons. Family researchers of all skill levels are welcome.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptop computers or tablet devices.
