Event Details
Join us on this date for the 1st of 8 (first of eight) Process Group Sessions on Navigating Disability, Chronic Illness, and Ableism or Belonging, in an Ableist World. These sessions are being conducted by the Louisville Seminary Counseling Center.
For the sake of discussion, the term ableist refers to a belief system that devalues and discriminates against people with disabilities, viewing them as less capable or worthy than those without disabilities.
These sessions are for adults only (age 20+) and open to all genders, all sexualities, all racial, all ethnic, and all immigration backgrounds!
There will be 8 (eight) - 90-minute sessions altogether - that are all free of charge, and all LGBTQIA+, anti-racist, and anti-abelist spaces!
The other 7 (seven) sessions will be held from 5:30-7:00 p.m. on the following dates: October 6, 13, 20, 27 and November 3, 17, and 24.
Pre-registration is requested for planning purposes.
