Join us at the Clarksville Library for this month's Let's Learn with Author JoAnne Spiller in recognition of Black History Month!
Since March of 2000, JoAnne has been the Director of Education for the Jefferson (Madison) County History and Art Center. In this role, she develops and teaches educational programs for grades K-12 as well as curating various exhibits. A published author, JoAnne's latest book - Visionary Designs by Bill Smith, tj - was released in July of 2024.
Who is Designer Bill Smith, tj? William Franklin "Bill" Smith came from humble beginnings in Madison, IN, and he went on to become a successful fine and costume jewelry designer. His designs are in the permanent collection of the Jefferson County History and Art Museum in Madison, IN, The MET in New York City, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Eskenazi Museum of Art at Indiana University Bloomington, and the Yale University Art Collection.
Copies of JoAnne's book will be available for purchase ($25.00) and she will take cash or card payments.
