Program Description

Event Details

Family history researchers of all levels are cordially invited to attend our family history club meeting on Thursday, December 11, starting at 6 p.m. This month, we'll meet genealogical researcher Jay Schexnaydre of Thibodaux, Louisiana. Schexnadre will join us via Zoom to offer attendees his insights into researching the historical populations of his region. As the Operations Manager at the famed Laura Plantation of Vacherie, Louisiana, and an avid collector of his own French Canadian family history, Schexnadre has gained experience in many aspects of family history, including researching enslaved families.

Attendees are welcome to participate and contribute information. This club is interactive! Bring your questions, your curiosity, and your willingness to help other researchers. We look forward to meeting you! So long as the group fits, the club will meet in Jeffersonville Township Public Library’s Anne Discher Memorial Learning Lab on the south end of the library’s Jeffersonville branch.
