EthanAlmighty & Mr. Jeff Callaway will be HERE!

Join us on this date from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the Jeffersonville location when our special guests will be here - EthanAlmighty and Mr. Jeff Callaway.  This much anticipated event is for ALL AGES!

On Ethan's Facebook page is the following quote:  "Ethan was left to die in a parking lot.  This is his miraculous survival journey to Hero Dog & beyond."  Ethan's story and journey from near death to one of miraculous health began on March 10, 2021 when he was officially adopted by Jeff Callaway and became a beloved member of his family!

In 2024, a Kentucky bill (HB 258) was introduced and passed by a vote of 79-9.  It then proceeded to the Senate and subsequently passed by a vote of 30-5.  Known as Ethan's Law, it "increases the punishment for intentional torture of a cat or dog and changes it from a first offense misdemeanor to a first offense Class D. Felony."

The library is honored to have both Jeff Callaway and Ethan here with us today!  For those who aren't aware, Ethan had a DNA test in 2021 and it was discovered that he is an amalgamation of six different dog breeds:  Presa Canario, Mastiff, Argentine Dogo, Bull Dog, Cane Corso, and American Staffordshire Terrier.  It was also determined that Ethan was closer to being only 1 year old and around 80 pounds, which was his goal weight.  What we can definitely say about EthanAlmighty is - He is a BIG BUNDLE OF LOVE!
