Program Description

Event Details

Join us on this date at our Jeffersonville location for a presentation on Victory Gardens: Past and Present, by a member of SeedSavers.

During World War II, Victory Gardens were vegetable gardens planted by Americans to increase food production and to support the war effort.

By 1944, there were more than 20 million gardens planted across the United States. They were also a way to boost morale and foster a sense of community during this very difficult time.

For planning purposes, registration is requested.
