Event Details
Join us on this date from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Clarksville Library for the Art Reception honoring Dr. Subhranil De.
His exhibit will be available for viewing in the Clarksville Branch Art Gallery during normal hours of operation from Wednesday, February 11 - Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
This spectacular exhibit - entitled "The Tale of a Silver Lining - An Adventure in Negative Color," is the celebration of the usage of dry-erase markers and negative color. Dry-erase markers have remained Dr. De's medium of choice and he has embraced the negative color techniques where every part is sketched in a color that is complimentary to its final desired complexion.
When Dr. De is not making art, he can be found at Indiana University Southeast (IUS) where he has been a Professor of Physics for the past 15 years. He recently published his memoir - The Time on the Gravel Roads - which explores his journey in finding a career which synchronized his passion for physics and his love of teaching.
Light refreshments will be served during the reception.
This is a good time to view Dr. De's exhibit while making his acquaintance.
